Sportful Total Comfort Bib Short
As the name would suggest, the Total Comfort bib short was developed for riders who are looking for all-day comfort but demand top performance. Unlike other endurance and long distance bib shorts, these were designed with performance first. This means you get all the benefits of a performance garment with added comfort.
The panels of the Total Comfort are all anatomic and constructed from 200 gram Power Lycra. This will offer plenty of muscle compression form improved blood flow and support. The panels that come in contact with the saddle feature TC Ceramic Lycra abrasion resistant fabric. This will increase durability and reduce friction for smoother action. The 4cm soft-stretch leg bands lay perfectly flat and do not pinch or feel too restrictive.
The two features that are unique to Sportful are the bib straps and seat pad. The straps are super thin and anatomically placed so they wrap around the body. They are also perforated and elastic so they melt into your skin. There are added side panels and an added elastic band in the center of the back that helps keep everything in place. Sportful's Olympic Power compression stretch seat pad is elastic, anatomically cut and has 3 layers of progressive density foam which offers up to 18mm of padding. This might sound too thick, but when combined with the correct density it just feels right. Clearly one of the most comfortable pads we have used to date, and the same can be said of this impressive bib short, as the name indicates.

I've worn Assos, Capo, Exte Ondo, LG, PI, MS Tina, Giro, Santini, Castelli, Craft, and these are by far my favorite. The pad is every bit as good as Assos offerings without the diaper feel that you get from theirs. Also they stay in place on unlike Assos, and no hot spots like I was getting with them as well. The straps are different and not my favorite, but they lay flat and don't bother me while riding. The compression is good, but not excessive. Im 59" and 160 and wear Medium. Ive had mine for well over a year, and many miles and theyve held up as good as every other bib Ive owned. Not too mention they havent gotten see thru like some can. Do yourself a favor and try a pair.
Pros Pad. Fit. Quality
Cons Straps could be a little softer feeling

I have several of these shorts now and they are my go to shorts on anything longer than 50 miles. I regularly do 9 or more hour rides and the chamois on these shorts lives up to the name. Chamois is the proper size and the padding while thick does not feel overly so. The short material has held up well, fit is good and as expected (6ft, 170 lbs, size L), the legs are a good length and stay is place and the straps are comfortable with no chafing. Highly recommended.

Great shorts and a good value at sale price. Shorts are well made and have a good quality chamois. The variable thickness chamois, thinner at front and thicker in back, works well. In normal American garments I usually wear a medium. I am 5-9 and 175 lbs and the large in this short is a good fit for me. I have a pair of Sportful bib tights in medium and they are fairly snug while these shorts in large are still supportive and not at all loose. They have a longish leg. For example, they come down about an inch or so longer than some Louis Garneau shorts that I have, and similar in length to Voler shorts that I have. After riding these for about 250-300 miles, the finish on the outside where they contact the saddle seems to have some rub marks on it. No abrasion of the fabric per se, but it's more like the finish on the fabric has been dulled a bit so you can see where it contacts the saddle. Only reason to hold back on 5th star is need to see how the durability holds up.
Pros Good value, materials, and workmanship, comfy
Cons Will have to keep an eye on durability. OK so far
